What’s My Name was performed by successful R&B singer, Rihanna which is the solo version taken from her upcoming fifth studio album, “Loud” scheduled for released on November 12, 2010. About the album, it was revealed in June 2010, that Rihanna was planning to release the fifth studio album soon. Singers, songwriters and producers Taio Cruz,Alex da Kid, Sean Garrett, Ne-Yo, Rico Love, Timbaland, Shontelle, David Guetta, and Drake worked on the album. She has stated “I’m gonna miss the Rated R era too, but nothing compares to the album I just made,” and she addind ,”I made sure not to let you down with my music. You guys are always defending me, so now you’ve got some great songs to justify it. I didn’t want to go backward and remake Good Girl Gone Bad. I wanted the next step in the evolution of Rihanna, and it’s perfect for us”.
Previously, the remix version of the song featuring rapper, Drake was premiered on October 15, 2010 and will be featured as bonus track of the album. The music video for the duet will be shot on October 28, 2010.
