Lil’ Mama – Shawty Get Loose Review
“Shawty Get Loose” is a song recorded by female rapper, Lil Mama off her debut album entitled ” VYP: Voice of the Young People”. The track is serves as the third single off the album and became the no. 1 single by Lil’ Mama. There is a remix version features Chris Brown singing the chorus, and T-Pain rapping on the second verse. In the original, T-Pain originally sings the chorus, while Lil Mama raps on the second verse. Instead of T-Pain using the Auto-Tune effect, Chris Brown uses it, like he did in his other collaboration with T-Pain, “Kiss Kiss”.
The official music video was filmed and directed by R. Malcolm Jones in Miami, Florida. There is a dedication to Tara Kirkland, Lil Mama’s mother, who died on December 15, 2007, after a four-year battle with cancer.
